Here on WaT we allow members to take over pretty much whatever they have the balls to attempt to take over this is done by a show of martial might. This is usually used to take over unclaimed territory, however, the bolder members can attempt to take a territory that is controlled by a column of power or even take control other group territories up to and including even the entire nation. The way to take over the nation is to simply create a conquest thread (which acts as a special training) all this requires is to make the thread and put the [conquest] in the title. Once it is done anyone who wants to can challenge you, once the thread is posted the action cannot be taken back and those who own it can defend it with as many people as they wish though other can join the conquest in your defense if they so wish. NPC's are not allowed to engage in conquest battles. If there is no one to defend the area after 48hrs you may post again claiming the territory uncontested. While these threads are always Death Enabled that does not mean that someone has to die. The thread will be the individual or a group of people teaming up either setting up a base of operations to establish their own presence in a territory or taking over an already established territory by destroying the base of operations in the city.[break][break]
Each board that is controlled by a group needs at least one base of operations and can have up to three (with each one after the first needing a special thread to establish) the defenses for each base need to be mentioned beforehand. Meaning if you do not have a base defense thread at the time someone attacks you are considered to have an empty base with no defenses, these defenses are the only time NPC's can be in a conquest thread and they are considered e rank and very trash (easily defeated by any player character literally only good for killing time). These defenses can also be traps and weapons and don't have to be mook npcs. That being said territory can also be gained after peaceful negotiation.[break][break]
The conquest systems extends beyond just conquest threads for territory one can also take positions from another character this way. For example let's say we have a police force character that wants to be the head of the police force all one would have to do is challenge the head of the police force for their position. While the police force leader does not have to accept if the challenger is relatively strong and has a lot of influence themselves denying a request could cause his subordinates to lose faith in his strength and leadership which could result in a forced rebellion which can happen by the challenger getting other on his side and declaring war. War is a more active version of challenging where the challenger and those who have chosen to follow him attack the challenged (in this case the head of the police force) the police force head would then have to respond to a blatant attack like this. While the challenger does not need backers to declare war a lone member of an organization declaring war on the boss would be outnumbered and overwhelmed quite quickly. Like territory positions can also be passed on peacefully if one wishes.[break][break]
This system can also be used to forcibly take other people's support tools no matter if its a weapon or armor or even their money. This is done exactly how it sounds. During a thread with someone you can beat them up and take their stuff. This is extremely straight forward, however, because taking something off of someone's person can be considered god modding if one does not give them a chance to stop you it is only an attempt to take an item and the person who owns the item has a chance to defend against the theft. In these instances the attempted robbery will be rped out normally and if there is any issues with deciding who succeeded call for a staff member and they will decide based on what is most likely to happen based on all the characters involved as well as the quality of the writing done. Force is not the only way to take someone's things stealth can also be used, though the same rules apply. Also things can be peacefully given to someone else.[break][break]
Lastly quirk cultivation is a thing on this site. There are rare people in the world who know the ins and outs of quirks and how they work. These people are able to take quirks as well as give out quirks from others using various means (their own quirks, technology, surgery just to name a few). As of right now using a quirk is the only way to take a quirk from someone without them being recently dead and even with those quirks in order to cultivate a quirk from a live person it will need to be voluntary. Staff reserve the right to close this part of the system at any time because let's face it a site where there are a million people stealing quirks would get boring.[break][break]
